Kuiper has something to say with his series 'Dutch Still Life In Plastic'. He is a great admirer of the Dutch vanitas artists of the past and his biography on his website says that he sees the dichotomy in his work - that on one hand plastic is an admiral invention, an invention of the everlasting, although on the other hand his work serves as a warning, showing how we have gone so overboard with the material and how it may be our downfall in the future.
